The 13th Cone

Story
The cone that is really a sphere
On 24 October 1917, four days after her marriage to W. B. Yeats, George Yeats began to write words that did not seem to be her own.
Session after session filled notebook after notebook, and from them Yeats built A Vision: a geometry of history and the soul, drawn in whirling gyres, interpenetrating cones and a wheel of twenty-eight phases of the moon.
The 13th Cone follows that geometry from the séance rooms and secret societies of the 1890s to its last and strangest figure, the cone that Yeats said is a sphere, sufficient to itself, which only appears as a cone to us.
